Announcement of the public memorial for Ed

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
Please see the following announcement for the public memorial that will be held July 9th, 2016 at 2pm. We hope to see you all.
Memorial for Edward Lancelot Miles
December 21, 1939 – May 7, 2016
Edward Lancelot Miles, extraordinary scholar in marine affairs, climate impacts, and environmental management, died on May 7, 2016 from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. He was 76.
We invite you to join us on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., in Meany Hall on the campus of the University of Washington to celebrate and pay tribute to the visionary citizen scientist and leader, mentor, teacher, colleague, and friend that Ed was to so many, as well as our beloved husband and father. A reception will follow. All are invited. (Please note: parking is free after 12:00 noon in the UW Central Parking garage.)
